Dentistry

Dental disease is one of the most common medical conditions affecting our pets. Over 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of 3 years have some form of dental disease present. Maintaining healthy gums and teeth is very important for your pets overall wellbeing.

Bad breath, bleeding gums, discoloured or loose teeth, receding gums and difficulty eating are all signs of dental problems. Some animals may not show obvious signs of issues related to their mouth until quite advanced periodontal disease is already present. We are able to identify and recommend treatment, either management with special diets, treats or tooth cleaning aids, or perform cleaning and tooth extraction under anaesthesia if required.
