Puppy Pre-school

This is a 5-week course designed to help your puppy learn basic obedience using a positive reward-based method, whilst also learning vital socialisation skills with people and other puppies of all breeds and sizes. The first few months of a dog’s life are a critical learning time to develop these lifelong skills and our puppy pre-school course will help set both you and your puppy up with the ability to develop and maintain these skills into the future. We will also teach you to understand your puppy, how they communicate, learn and play, and provide you with some hints and tips for preventing and managing any unwanted behaviours.

Topics covered in the course include:   

• Basic Commands – sit, drop, stay, come, lead walking
• Crate Training
• Toilet Training
• Handling and Settling Techniques
• Health and Nutrition
• Dog Behaviour and Communication

Puppies must be 8-12 weeks on their first day of training. They must have had at a minimum their first vaccination at least 2 weeks prior to starting and have been treated for fleas. Up to two people per puppy can attend the classes.
